Discovering the Shala River

The Shala River Tour takes you to this remote place, where nature has carved out breathtaking scenery and time seems to have stood still.
Starting from Koman, you will reach the mouth of the Shala River by sailing along the lake, and then you will go up the river through mysterious bends, small beaches, icy springs, and vertical forests. There you will find a swimming area, a cozy guesthouse, and the chance to enjoy the silence, an organic lunch, and even a hammock with a view of the Alps.

Itinerary

09:00 – Check-in at Koman Terminal
09:30 – Departure by boat directly on the lake
10:45 – 14:00 - Arrival at the Shala River and free time to swim, relax, have lunch, or explore
14:00 – Departure for the return trip
15:30 – Arrival at Koman Terminal

The river water is very cold even in summer: great for cooling off, but not for everyone!
This is not a tourist spot: respect the environment, avoid loud music or littering.
If possible, book transportation from Shkodër or Tirana when purchasing your ticket.
